Because this project was completed during the time of COVID-19 constraints, deliverables were made into a slideshow presentation. This is a group project completed with Brooklyn Poff, the aim of the project being to combine both personalized apartment designs into a student-focused residential proposal created in Revit. Other software used in this project include AutoCAD, Rhino, Illustrator, Photoshop and VRay.
The Nest at Neyland is a dormitory design concept created to provide a unique and productive experience for University of Tennessee students. The proposed site is located at Circle Park, near the center of the university, allowing residents close access to all of the campus's necessities. Each two-bedroom apartment consists of a private bedroom and bathroom with a shared kitchen, dining, study and patio space. The design features rotating garage style doors separating the bedrooms from the shared space and large, roll up garage doors allowing the shared space to extend out into the patio. The final floor plan caters to the routine of the student, optimizing their morning route throughout the space. This optimization is further emphasized by modular style seen throughout the project, balancing privacy with community.
